A new healthcare destination where clinical excellence, research, education, and human-centred design come together.
Our story
A healthcare destination developed in Egypt, for Egypt and the wider region.
Capital Med is being developed by Egyptians for Healthcare Services (EHCS) as an integrated healthcare city on Route 50, Cairo-Suez Road, in Badr City. Designed by HKS, its masterplan brings hospitals, medical education, research, wellness, and hospitality into one connected environment.
Positioned between Cairo International Airport and the New Administrative Capital, the city is planned to serve a regional population while creating a welcoming experience for patients and families.
Designed in alignment with international benchmarks
The development is planned around JCI criteria and Egypt’s Green Pyramid Rating System. These are design and development aims, not a claim of current accreditation.

Our vision
To help establish Egypt as a global leader in healthcare innovation, access, and clinical excellence, where compassionate care, academic advancement, and discovery work together to improve lives.
Our mission
To serve communities across Egypt, Africa, and the MENA region with comprehensive, evidence-informed healthcare, while building a platform for medical education, training, and research across specialties.
Our ambition is to bring advanced medical expertise and research closer to the people and communities who need it.
What guides us
Four connected commitments shape how the Capital Med city is planned and how its healthcare ecosystem aims to serve people.
01 / CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
Advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical capabilities supported by specialist expertise and a commitment to continuous learning.
02 / INTELLIGENT INTEGRATION
Clinical care, research, education, wellness, and hospitality brought together to support a more coordinated experience.
03 / HUMAN-CENTRED DESIGN
Thoughtful environments, restorative landscapes, and family-focused amenities designed to bring comfort and clarity into the care journey.
04 / SUSTAINABLE IMPACT
Environmental responsibility, social accountability, and long-term resilience inform the campus vision and its development.

The campus
The masterplan brings together specialist hospitals and centres of excellence with academic, research, wellness, and hospitality facilities. Clear connections between these components are intended to support patients, families, healthcare professionals, and learners.
The campus is planned across 144 acres, with more than 70% dedicated to green and open-air space. The landscape is conceived as part of the experience of care, with gardens, natural light, and restorative outdoor spaces woven into the environment.
Campus scale and facilities described here are development plans, not a statement of current clinical capacity.
Sustainability & ESG
More than 70% of the planned campus is dedicated to green, open-air space. Native gardens, shaded walkways, daylight, and restorative courtyards are part of a broader commitment to human wellbeing and environmental performance.

A message from our chairman
“We are not building a facility. We are establishing a legacy deeply rooted in the very soil where medicine originated.”
Capital Med brings together Egypt’s deep connection to the history of medicine with a forward-looking vision for clinical expertise, research, and human-centred care.
